Ah yes, the wonderful world of techniques, the ability to freeze time, cause explosions that could obliterate an entire planet, and even simply shield oneself from energy, are all just some minor examples of this wonderful realm. However, one must first learn these techniques. This is a guide to teach you how to learn these techniques, or even teach you to spawn your own techniques!
This part of learning techniques is the easiest part. Quite simply, you choose the technique you wish to learn. This can range from the simple kikouha, to the epic spirit bomb. Remember, choose wisely which you need sooner, for it could decide whether you live or die on the battlefield.
This part is a little tricky. First you have to find out if anyone knows this technique. If so, they should be on your side so they don't try to kill you when you ask them to teach you. Next, you post the thread where you can learn, and then move on from there. However, if you do not have anyone on your side that knows the technique, you can try and learn the technique alone, although this takes much more time and energy than learning it from someone else.
Whether you learn the technique or not is dependent on how well you RP your learning of said move. This is rather self-explanatory, although if you fully dedicate a thread to learning one move, you should be well on your way to learning it. An ideal thread for trying to learn a technique should be roughly five-six paragraphs.
A good strategy for learning the technique solo:
Note, however, that this is simply a strategy to posting what is necessary so you may gain the skill. You can use your own strategy to learn the skill, so it's whatever you want so you can gain the technique, however five paragraphs IS A REQUIREMENT!
If you succeed in your training, and you get the technique, then congratulations! However, if you fail the technique, you can always try again! As a wise man (Or woman for that matter) once said, "If you fail once, try try again." This is a very good saying to go by if you are trying as hard as you can to learn a technique.
If you wish to create your own original technique, you must start out at the planning stage. This means that you must come up with something no one else has. NOTE, however, it cannot be an unavoidable technique. Generally, you want to think about things like, "What do I want to call it?", "What will it do?", "Will it be an ultimate death move, a standard attack?", etc.
Alright, in this part, you want to finish making the general idea. Assuming you are finished with the idea, you would want to send it to Sumitori or Ambrie. Once it's been approved, that's when the real fun begins.
This is VERY similar to the learning of other techniques. In this you must post at least 5 paragraphs. This is very easy to accomplish with custom techniques, since you can be as creative as you like. I'll re-input the strategy for those of you who skipped earlier.
Thus, once this is done, you await for the grading of the topic.
In the end, you should have your custom move. Here is an Example. (used from Vlaid's custom moves)
Learning a Technique
Part One: Deciding the technique.
This part of learning techniques is the easiest part. Quite simply, you choose the technique you wish to learn. This can range from the simple kikouha, to the epic spirit bomb. Remember, choose wisely which you need sooner, for it could decide whether you live or die on the battlefield.
Part Two: Where To Learn?
This part is a little tricky. First you have to find out if anyone knows this technique. If so, they should be on your side so they don't try to kill you when you ask them to teach you. Next, you post the thread where you can learn, and then move on from there. However, if you do not have anyone on your side that knows the technique, you can try and learn the technique alone, although this takes much more time and energy than learning it from someone else.
Part Three: Learning The Technique.
- Paragraph one: Your character focuses on the technique, thinking how they can manipulate their ki to work it.
- Paragraph Two: Your character begins to meditate (Or become enraged, etc.) To gain the power to use said technique.
- Paragraph Three: Your character attempts to use the technique for a first time. (Note that there must be an error of some kind. (i.e. 3 small mistakes or one big one)
- Paragraph Four: Your character begins to correct the mistake, finding out what they did wrong.
- Paragraph Five: Re-attempting said technique with the mistakes corrected. (Or you can mess up again, for laughs, or you can use an error to lengthen the thread, giving you a higher chance to learn said technique.
- Paragraph Six: You can rinse and repeat paragraphs four and five as many times as you can without being repetitive, or else your chances may be lowered. If you succeed, however, you can have your character celebrate or otherwise in this paragraph.
Note, however, that this is simply a strategy to posting what is necessary so you may gain the skill. You can use your own strategy to learn the skill, so it's whatever you want so you can gain the technique, however five paragraphs IS A REQUIREMENT!
Part Four: Celebration/Failure
If you succeed in your training, and you get the technique, then congratulations! However, if you fail the technique, you can always try again! As a wise man (Or woman for that matter) once said, "If you fail once, try try again." This is a very good saying to go by if you are trying as hard as you can to learn a technique.
Creating Your Own Original Technique
Part One: Starting Out
If you wish to create your own original technique, you must start out at the planning stage. This means that you must come up with something no one else has. NOTE, however, it cannot be an unavoidable technique. Generally, you want to think about things like, "What do I want to call it?", "What will it do?", "Will it be an ultimate death move, a standard attack?", etc.
Part Two: Molding The Clay
Alright, in this part, you want to finish making the general idea. Assuming you are finished with the idea, you would want to send it to Sumitori or Ambrie. Once it's been approved, that's when the real fun begins.
Part Three: Spawning The Technique
This is VERY similar to the learning of other techniques. In this you must post at least 5 paragraphs. This is very easy to accomplish with custom techniques, since you can be as creative as you like. I'll re-input the strategy for those of you who skipped earlier.

Thus, once this is done, you await for the grading of the topic.
Part Four: More Celebration/Failure
In the end, you should have your custom move. Here is an Example. (used from Vlaid's custom moves)
Enkou no Shirou - Kamehameha style
Vlaid begins by cupping his hands, similar to both the kamehameha, and the enkou no shirou. As he does this however, he charges up a flame ball, and fires it off like a beam, dealing massive damage. This attack mixes the two, causing a 'super' version of a kamehameha, which when Vlaid gets strong enough, may even rival Adult Gohan's Super Kamehameha.
